Dr. Don Ahn, M.D.
Dr Ahn is the founder of Inland Cardiology. He originally started as an individual cardiologist at San Antonio Community Hospital in 1985, and eventually formed the Inland Cardiology Medical Associate Group in the year 2000. He is board certified in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Diseases,and Internal Medicine. He performs cardiovascular procedures ranging from diagnostic to therapeutic interventions. He graduated from Kyunghee Medical school in Seoul, South Korea, studied at Vanderbilt Medical School in Nashville, and underwent his Internal Medicine Residency at Wright State Medical shool in Dayton Ohio. He then finished a Cardiology Fellowship at St. Vincent Medical Center in Los Angeles. He currently serves as the Medical Director of Invasive Cardiology at San Antonio Community Hospital. He also was previously honored to serve as the Chief of Staff there in the year 2006.
 
Hossein Dehghani, MD
Dr. Dehghani graduated from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA in 2004. He then trained in Internal medicine at a Harvard teaching hospital the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He won the award for the best promising medical research as a resident while doing research at Harvard Clinical Research Institute. He then trained for 3 years in general cardiology at Tulane University Hospital in New Orleans, LA where he served as Chief fellow in his final year of fellowship. He then continued his training at University of California San Francisco in Interventional Cardiology with a second year focus on peripheral interventions and structural heart disease. He joined Inland Cardiology in July 2013 and works full time out of San Antonio Community Hospital as an interventional cardiologist. He is internal medicine and cardiology board certified.

During his tenure at UCSF in addition to performing coronary and peripheral interventions he trained in advanced interventional techniques such as mitral valvuloplasty, aortic valvuloplasty, septal alcohol ablation and percutaneous closure of atrial septal defects. Furthermore his areas of interest are coronary chronic total occlusion and high risk coronary stenting and use of Impella back up. He has published articles in peer reviewed journals about atrial septal defects, drug eluting stents and novel strategies of closure device use with Impella back up. He hopes to bring some of these Novel strategies to his practice in Inland Cardiology and his patient population at San Antonio Community Hospital.
